**About the Position**: We are seeking an experienced **Civil Technician** to join our growing team. You will play a vital role in supporting our civil engineering and construction projects by assisting with design, documentation, site supervision, and quality control to ensure timely and successful project delivery.
**The responsibilities include, but will not be limited to**:
- Assist Civil Engineers with residential site development, planning, and design documentation.
- Conduct tests on construction materials and soil to ensure adherence to design specifications and standards.
- Prepare detailed technical drawings and civil layout plans using AutoCAD or similar drafting software.
- Compile quantity estimates and cost tabulations for siteworks, drainage, and structural elements.
- Inspect and monitor construction sites to verify compliance with approved designs, WHS, and environmental requirements.
- Support the coordination of subcontractors, suppliers, and trades involved in excavation, drainage, and pavement works.
- Maintain project logs, field notes, sketches, test results, and reports for engineering records and compliance documentation.
- Liaise with councils and certifiers to ensure all works align with DA/CC approvals and relevant Australian Standards.
**Requirements and Qualifications**:
- AQF Diploma, Advanced Diploma, or Associate Degree in Civil Engineering or a closely related field.
- Minimum 2 years of post-qualification experience in a relevant civil or construction environment.
- Proficiency in civil drafting and software tools such as AutoCAD, Civil 3D, or similar platforms.
- Sound understanding of Australian civil engineering codes and environmental and safety practices.
- Strong interpersonal, time management, and problem-solving skills.
- Valid driver’s licence and the ability to travel to project sites within NSW as required.
- Valid Australian work rights or work authorization.
