**Role Summary**
Leads the kitchen to deliver **consistent, high‑quality vegetarian food**, maintain brand standards, manage staff, control costs, and ensure smooth daily operations.
**Key Responsibilities**
- Oversee daily cooking, prep, and service flow.
- Maintain taste, quality, and presentation for all Thakar dishes.
- Train and supervise kitchen staff; manage rosters and performance.
- Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety rules.
- Control food cost, wastage, and inventory.
- Coordinate with management and front‑of‑house for smooth service.
- Support menu improvements, festival specials, and recipe standardisation.
**Skills & Experience**
- Robust experience in Indian vegetarian cuisine (Gujarati preferred).
- Leadership ability and team training skills.
- Knowledge of food safety, kitchen systems, and high‑volume operations.
- Organised, disciplined, and quality‑focused.
**Personal Qualities**
- Calm under pressure, respectful, and detail‑oriented.
- Passion for vegetarian cooking and consistency.
- Reliable, punctual, and aligned with Thakar’s hospitality values.
