Role Summary
Leads the kitchen to deliver consistent, high‑quality vegetarian food, maintain brand standards, manage staff, control costs, and ensure smooth daily operations.
Key Responsibilities
Oversee daily cooking, prep, and service flow.
Maintain taste, quality, and presentation for all Thakar dishes.
Train and supervise kitchen staff; manage rosters and performance.
Ensure hygiene, cleanliness, and compliance with food safety rules.
Control food cost, wastage, and inventory.
Coordinate with management and front‑of‑house for smooth service.
Support menu improvements, festival specials, and recipe standardisation.
Skills & Experience
Robust experience in Indian vegetarian cuisine (Gujarati preferred).
Leadership ability and team training skills.
Knowledge of food safety, kitchen systems, and high‑volume operations.
Organised, disciplined, and quality‑focused.
Personal Qualities
Calm under pressure, respectful, and detail‑oriented.
Passion for vegetarian cooking and consistency.
Reliable, punctual, and aligned with Thakar’s hospitality values.
