- Diagnose & Repair: Perform diagnostics, repairs, and maintenance on a wide range of vehicles and equipment.
- Preventative Maintenance: Conduct routine inspections and preventative maintenance to ensure all equipment operates efficiently and safely.
- Troubleshooting: Identify and troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and hydraulic issues.
- Engine Rebuilds: Complete engine replacements, overhauls, and tune-ups when necessary.
- Workshop Fabrication: Use our facilities to fabricate equipment to meet the needs of the vehicles.
- Parts & Equipment: order parts and ensure equipment availability for repairs and replacement.
- Safety Compliance: Ensure that all repairs and maintenance are performed in accordance with safety standards and regulatory standards.
- Documentation: Maintain accurate records of all repairs, services, and maintenance activities. Basic Bookkeeping, invoicing and reporting is required.
- Availability: Able to respond out-of-hours breakdowns as required. ​We have a number of jobs for candidates who possess any of the following Qualifications & Skills:
- Experience: Minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Light or Heavy Vehicle Mechanic or similar role.
- Certifications: Relevant trade certifications minimum Certificate III level.
- Technical Skills: Strong understanding of diesel and internal combustion engines, fuel, hydraulic and electrical components, fabrication, and diagnostic tools.
- Physical Ability: Ability to lift heavy objects and work in various positions, including standing, bending, and kneeling.
- Problem-Solving: Strong troubleshooting skills with the ability to work independently or in a team.
- Driver’s Licenses: A valid driver’s license is required, with a clean driving record, and a Heavy Vehicle License (HR Minimum) can be obtained once commenced. A Forklift license is also required.
- Clearances: Additional clearances such as SAPOL Contractor and Towing permit are required to fulfil the role.
