Farm Hand (Crop Farm Worker) (Kununurra)

Employer: Ord Valley Turf Pty Ltd Type: Full-time. Location: Kununurra, Western Australia Number of positions: 2 Salary $71,550 to $75,000 per year plus superannuation. Farm Hands conduct various farm duties to grow commercially viable turf. Duties
- Operate tractors and loaders, bobcats, turf cutters, rotary hoes, mowers and forklifts.
- Operate cars, quad bikes and side-by-sides.
- Conduct pest control by spraying pesticides.
- Assist with planting, mowing, fertilising and harvesting turf.
- Conduct irrigation, ensuring the prescribed amount of water is delivered on time.
- Wrapping pallets for dispatch.
- General farm duties. Essential
- Secondary education or higher.
- At least one year of experience as a farm hand.
- Ability to work in an extreme climate.
- Be an Australian citizen or permanent resident.
- Manual drivers licence.
- Willing to conduct police and medical checks if required. Desirable
- HR licence
- Forklift licence
- ChemCert. Other information Kununurra is a remote area with an extreme climate. The employer may conduct random drug and alcohol testing.
