Engineer Commissioning (Process) (Kwinana Beach)

About the Position TLEA is welcoming applications for an Engineer Commissioning (Process) on a Max Term contract to join our team working at our Kwinana plant. The successful applicant will be responsible for overseeing and leading the commissioning for Tianqi Lithium Kwinana’s (TLK) portfolio of ramp‑up brownfield projects, ensuring systems are installed, tested, and operational according to design specifications and safety standards. This role requires extensive knowledge of commissioning practices, mineral processing operations and engineering principles. Responsibilities
- Demonstrate personal commitment to safety and the well‑being of people.
- Provide input to the Owner’s execution strategy and ensure that execution plans are consistent with that strategy.
- Lead and manage Stage 2 and 3 commissioning to deliver a portfolio of projects, providing technical guidance and support.
- Develop and implement commissioning scope plans, schedules and procedures.
- Plan and oversee pre-commissioning, Stage 2 and 3 commissioning, readiness to handover to operations for start‑up activities and Stage 4 commissioning.
- Coordinate key interfaces between the commissioning team and various stakeholders to ensure seamless commissioning and enable flawless start‑up.
- Develop and execute Commissioning Test Procedure (CTP) including leak test, no‑load and proof test, control system design and implementation, functional and performance tests of equipment and systems.
- Apply strong knowledge of process, safety instrumented functions, I/O tests and proof tests.
- Identify and resolve technical issues during the commissioning process. Required Qualifications
- Tertiary degree in Engineering.
- Minimum of 4 years of experience in commissioning roles within mineral processing or heavy industrial plants.
- Proven experience in leading commissioning and managing a portfolio of brownfield projects.
- Knowledge of Australian Standards, regulatory requirements and construction practices.
- Strong ability to read and identify potential gaps in P&ID;, loop diagram, control narratives, HAZOP during the design phase from a Stage 4 commissioning perspective.
- Excellent problem‑solving and analytical skills.
