We are now looking for a Sales Engineer to strengthen our team in New Gisborne. This role offers a unique opportunity to combine engineering knowledge with sales support and customer collaboration in an international environment. Your Role As a Sales Engineer, you will work closely with Area Sales Managers, subsidiaries, and global support teams to deliver strong technical and commercial support. Your responsibilities will include:
- Supporting Area Sales Managers and subsidiaries with sales‑related technical expertise
- Managing sales of spare parts, repairs, and overhaul services
- Assisting workshop technicians with assessments of repairs and overhauls
- Preparing technical material and documentation for sales projects and overhaul activities
- Acting as a customer‑facing technical contact and supporting strong customer relationships
- Maintaining close collaboration with the Global Support Team and relevant subsidiaries
- Ensuring process compliance and contributing to continuous improvements
- Supporting internal training and knowledge sharing with other sales engineers About You You are a proactive and technically skilled professional who enjoys working close to both customers and production. We believe you have:
- A relevant BSc degree in Engineering (Mechanical or Electrical preferred), or equivalent experience from a similar role
- Experience from manufacturing, railway, or another industrial environment
- Strong technical understanding combined with a hands‑on mindset
- Workshop or service technician experience
- Ability to understand customer needs, communicate clearly, resolve issues, and build long‑term relationships
- Knowledge of 3D CAD systems, preferably Autodesk Inventor / Vault
- Fluency in spoken and written English Whoarewe
