Cook/chef Mount Macedon

We currently have an excellent opportunity available at Mount Macedon Hotel in the heart of the Macedon Ranges, which is now under current management.

Seeking a dynamic experienced Chef/Cook to join our dedicated team.

Commercial Cookery Qualifications

Experience in a similar role for at least 2 years in a fast-paced kitchen environment

Passionate about high quality food

A high level of hygiene standards and personal presentation

Good clear communicator

Positive attitude, teamwork and ability to thrive under pressure

Reliable, punctual and efficient

Work fast, clean and motivate team by leading by example

Deliver high quality dishes, consistently well

Following and enforcing workplace health and safety requirements

Working with head chef to meet the food and kitchen budget

Developing kitchen services standards that ensure efficiencies and compliance

Food prep and food production of a la carte cooking

Kitchen set up and breakdown pre and post service

Practice and maintain a protected work setting

Follow food safety practices

Stock control and rotation

Supervision of apprentices and kitchen attendants

Communication with front of house and back of house staff

A team player

Pay: $30.00
- $35.00 per hour
