Leisure & Activities Coordinator – Part‑time – Lakes Entrance Location: Lakes Entrance, VIC, 3909 (Melbourne, VIC, Australia) Employment Type: Permanent part‑time Position Description You will support the Home Manager and Clinical Leadership team to design, develop and implement individual and group activities across the home for residents, respecting their identity, culture, diversity, beliefs and life experiences. Responsibilities
- Design, plan and deliver activities and programmes for frail people with cognitive impairment and other disabilities.
- Document assessments, care plans and progress notes to meet legislative, funding and quality improvement requirements.
- Use information technology and relevant programs; learn new skills as required.
- Promote close relationships with families and carers to support residents’ health and wellbeing; liaise with families and assess needs, preferences and capabilities of each resident.
- Maintain high level of honesty and integrity. Qualifications and Requirements
- Certificate IV in Leisure & Lifestyle or other relevant qualification.
- NDIS clearance check or willingness to obtain one.
- Current First Aid Certificate.
- Current VIC Driver’s License.
- Experience in planning, implementing and evaluating activities and programmes for frail older adults. About You
- Experience in care planning and developing group and one‑to‑one care programmes that consider residents’ lifestyle, hobbies and spiritual needs.
- Ability to design and plan individual activities aligned to resident interests and needs that can be carried out by the care team.
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work collaboratively with families, carers, and multidisciplinary teams. Perks
