The Client Prompt Care Services Pty Ltd is a provider of residential and community care services based in Orbost, VIC, supporting individuals and families through structured care programs, daily living assistance, and person‑centred support. They are seeking an experienced Residential Care Officer to join their team in Orbost, VIC. The Role Residential Care Officer is responsible for delivering structured care and support to clients in residential and community settings, ensuring services are provided in accordance with individual care plans, organisational procedures, and regulatory requirements. This is a full‑time position with an annual salary of $77,000 plus superannuation, based in Orbost, VIC. The Responsibilities
- Provide direct care and support to clients in residential and community settings in accordance with individual care plans
- Assist clients with daily living activities including personal care, mobility support, meal preparation, and household tasks
- Implement care plans, behavioural support strategies, and support programs based on individual client needs
- Monitor client wellbeing and report behavioural, emotional, or physical changes to supervisors and relevant stakeholders
- Maintain accurate client records, case notes, and incident reports in line with organisational and compliance requirements
- Support clients in developing life skills, independence, and social engagement within community settings
- Ensure a safe workplace by following risk management procedures, safeguarding policies, and workplace health and safety standards
- Administer or assist with medication in accordance with policies and authorised procedures
- Coordinate with families, healthcare professionals, and support teams to ensure consistent and effective care delivery
- Respond to incidents, emergencies, and challenging behaviours using approved intervention strategies
- Support client participation in community activities, appointments, and social programs
- Maintain professional boundaries and uphold client dignity, privacy, and confidentiality at all times The Requirements
- Certificate III or IV in Individual Support, Community Services, Disability, or equivalent qualification
- Minimum 2 years' experience as a Family Support Worker, Residential Care Officer, or similar role within community or residential care setting
- At least 2 years' experience supporting clients with daily living activities, personal care, and behavioural support needs
- Minimum 2 years' experience implementing care plans, support programs, and case documentation requirements
- At least 2 years' experience working with multidisciplinary teams including healthcare professionals, case managers, and families
- At least 2 years' experience managing challenging behaviours and responding to incidents in care environments
- Strong knowledge of care standards, safeguarding requirements, and workplace health and safety procedures
- Ability to maintain accurate documentation including case notes, incident reports, and care records
- Good communication skills and ability to engage effectively with clients, families, and support teams
- Ability to work independently and manage responsibilities in a structured care environment
- Strong interpersonal skills with a compassionate and client-focused approach
- Current First Aid and CPR certification
- Valid Working with Children Check and/or NDIS Worker Screening Check
