We are looking for an experienced Heavy Rigid Driver for our busy depot in Launceston.
The position carries a responsibility for all aspects of Road Transport Rules and Regulations which should be conducted in a competent, safe and law-abiding manner with due consideration to an efficient and service-oriented environment. Completing any local cartage job as delegated by the supervisor can also be required.
The majority of roster will be days that includes some weekends.
**Desired Skills and Experience**: **Qualifications**
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- Minimum Year 10 Secondary Education (Year 12 preferred)
- Class HC/MC Vehicle Licence (MC Preferred)
- MSIC (preferred but not essential)
- Proven delivery and freight experience
- Have a focus to always work safely
- Ability to work without direct supervision
- Physically fit and willing to do manual handling
- Numeracy and literacy Skills
- Strong customer service focus
- Good communication skills, both written and verbal
- Full knowledge of federal and state road regulations including load restraint and fatigue management
