We are seeking an experienced and motivated Civil Construction Trainer & Assessor to join our team.
This is an excellent opportunity for a skilled civil construction qualified who is passionate about training, mentoring, and developing the next generation of industry workers.
About the Role
As a Civil Construction Trainer & Assessor, you will deliver high-quality training and assessment to apprentices, trainees, and industry participants across a range of civil construction competencies.
You will facilitate both classroom and practical training while ensuring compliance with training package requirements and workplace health and safety standards.
Key Responsibilities
Deliver and assess civil construction training programs
Facilitate engaging classroom, workshop, and practical field-based training
Conduct competency-based assessments and provide learner feedback
Maintain accurate training, assessment, and compliance records
Support and mentor students, apprentices, and trainees
Ensure compliance with RTO standards, training packages, and WHS requirements
Participate in validation, moderation, and continuous improvement activities
Liaise with employers and industry stakeholders as required
Skills & Experience
Relevant industry qualification in Civil Construction or related field
Extensive hands-on industry experience within civil construction
Certificate IV in Training and Assessment (TAE* or equivalent) or willingness to obtain
Strong knowledge of civil construction practices, equipment, and safety procedures
Excellent communication and presentation skills
Ability to engage and motivate learners from diverse backgrounds
Robust organisational and time management skills
Current driver's licence
Desirable
Experience operating civil construction plant and equipment
Previous training, mentoring, or supervisory experience
High Risk Work Licence and relevant industry tickets
Experience within mining, infrastructure, roadworks, or construction projects
