Position Details Department of Health – Hospitals & Primary Care – Hospitals Nth – Launceston General Hospital Applications must be submitted by Sunday 07 June ****, 11:55 PM (AEST). Award / Classification Health and Human Services (Tasmanian State Service) Award, General Stream, Operational Health Officer, Level 1 Salary and Employment Type $57,130 – $62,486 pro rata per annum. 12% superannuation contribution on top of this amount. Additional living expenses up to $9,010 and meal entertainment of $2,650 per FBT year. Part‐time permanent shift worker (fully rotational): 28 hours per fortnight. Location & Region LGH Charles Street, Launceston (North region). The Team A fast paced work environment within a great team. LGH Food Services provides meals to over 300 patients daily (breakfast, lunch, dinner) 365 days a year. Shift work with a combination of early morning starts, evening shifts, including a combination of weekdays and weekends. The Role Provide a high standard of Food Service to hospital patients, staff and patrons in accordance with Agency policies, procedures, and guidelines. Assist in maintaining a high standard of food preparation, production, service, plating, meal distribution, ware‐washing, and cleaning of the hospital service areas and in accordance with the relevant codes of practice. Actively participate in and contribute to the organisation's Quality & Safety and Work Health & Safety processes, including in the development and implementation of safety systems, improvement initiatives, safeguarding practices for vulnerable people, and related training. Responsible for cleaning and sanitising all kitchen equipment, utensils, floors, and walls as directed by relevant supervisors and in accordance with relevant guidelines.
