- Retirement Villages The Opportunity We are looking for a Kitchen Assistant/Cook to join our team at Jindera Hostel in our Riverina Murray Region. A great opportunity exists, with availability required on weekends, for someone to perform cooking and kitchen duties. We are seeking people to provide a high standard of quality care to facility residents, by providing and maintaining a high standard of cooking and food service within the facility. What you will bring to the role:
- Experienced in planning, preparation and cooking fresh meals
- Experience in table service and clearing duties
- Experience in working in a rapid-paced kitchen and or bulk food preparation – desirable
- Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
- Knowledge and experience in working to the compliance of the Food Safety Standards to HACCP level
- Experience in Aged Care desirable
- Current First Aid Certificate desirable
- Excellent communication skills
- Team player who is highly motivated
- Availability to work various shifts across various days Benefits and perks
