Applications are invited for the full time position of Events Officer with Leeton Shire Council. The primary purpose of the position is to deliver a range of local and destinational events across Leeton Shire. Full details of specific duties are detailed in the Operations section of the Position Description (attached) and include (but not limited to):
- Assist with the planning for events, including safety plans and traffic management plans.
- Support community based organisations and visiting clubs/organisations to host events in Leeton Shire in accordance with the Annual Operating Plan.
- Assist with the promotion of events, including social media when required.
- Prepare lists, registers and basic run-sheets and reports.
- Assist with the bump-in and bump-out of events. The applicant will have:
- A qualification in marketing, tourism or event management with at least 4 year’s relevant experience.
- Must hold a current Working with Children Check (WWCC) or be willing to obtain.
- Must hold and maintain a current Class C driving licence. Salary and conditions: The position is Grade 9 in Council’s salary system ($37.04
- $41.49 / hour) depending on qualifications and experience. Conditions of employment are in accordance with the Local Government (State) Award. Prior to commencement, the successful applicant will be required to undergo a Functional Assessment which includes an alcohol and other drug screening and a hearing test.
