**About the role**
The primary purpose of the position is to support the effective provision of library services to customers as required. Key functions include delivering high quality customer service by assisting at the service desk and circulation duties as well as providing support with activity and promotional programs. Reporting directly to the Weekend Coordinator, you will assist in ensuring Inner West Libraries delivers an outstanding library service to its customers.

**This is a permanent part time role based on 14 hours working on Saturdays and Sundays.**
**Remuneration**
$22,579 pa
- $26,151 pa + 12% Superannuation + weekend penalty rates.
**Some of the required skills, experience and qualifications**
- Demonstrated ability to deal effectively with the public and a proven commitment to customer service
- Knowledge and a general interest in current trends in public libraries, lending services, emerging information technologies, publishing, contemporary culture and experience in implementing innovative ideas to create new programs.
- Certificate III in Library and Information recognized by the Australia Library & Information (ALIA) or Higher School Certificate or equivalent, willingness to obtain library or information qualification
- Proficient computer and technology skills
- Good written, verbal and interpersonal skills
