Job Title: Aged or Disabled Carer
Salary range: $76,515
- $80,000 per year excluding superannuation

About the Role
On behalf of our client, a respected not-for-profit provider operating a modern 70-bed residential aged care facility in a close-knit community, we are seeking an experienced Aged or Disabled Carer. Our client is dedicated to ensuring a dignified life for every resident, guided by values of kindness, teamwork, and continuous improvement. This permanent role focuses on delivering exceptional, person-centred care within a supportive, community-focused environment.
Key Duties (Organised by Category)
Documentation, Observation & Compliance
• Diligently maintain accurate, up-to-date resident records including progress notes, clinical assessments, and individual care plans.
• Observe, document, and immediately report any changes in a resident’s physical, emotional, or medical needs.
• Actively uphold the Aged Care Standards, resident rights (confidentiality, choice, privacy), and all WHS/Equal Chance legislation.
Personal & Clinical Support
• Assist residents with personal hygiene, dressing, and mobility aids, always following care plans to maximise their independence.
• Support specialised nursing needs (e.g., skin checks, feeding assistance) and provide compassionate emotional support.
• Serve meals and assist residents at dining time, ensuring a pleasant, dignified mealtime experience.
Household, Environment & Teamwork
• Manage clean linen, make beds, and accurately return laundered personal clothing to residents’ rooms.
• Build effective relationships with residents, families, GPs, and allied health staff, contributing positively to the care team.
• Attend all compulsory meetings and training, identify personal learning needs, and participate in safety/quality improvement activities.
Skills & Experience Required
• Certificate III in Individual Support (or equivalent) plus one year of full-time on-the-job experience.
• Current driver’s licence and own reliable transport for this semi-regional location.
• Full COVID-19 vaccination, annual flu shot, and willingness to sign a statutory declaration regarding international criminal history.
