**About the role**
As the Distribution Centre Supervisor your job will be provide leadership of the Distribution Centre Team to collectively manage the operational and administrative processes that will ensure the safe, efficient, accurate and timely throughput and delivery of our product to our customers_._ Reporting to the National Logistics Manager you will have approximately 4 direct reports.
The distribution centre will cater for locally made product and be the distribution point for other products either made or sourced. Your duties would include:
- Champion a _safe and compliant work environment_, upholding Chain of Responsibility and WHS standards (AS4801).
- Lead, coach, and develop warehouse staff to foster a culture of _productivity, accuracy, and continuous improvement_.
- Oversee the _receipt, storage, inventory management, and dispatch_ of goods—including locally manufactured and sourced products.
- Manage freight contracts and providers while monitoring performance against service and cost KPIs.
- Build and maintain solid internal and external relationships to understand and respond to business needs.
- Control stock integrity through regular audits and ensure product protection during storage and transit.
- Maximise efficiency of labour and resources to deliver on-time, cost-effective results.
- Ensure all warehouse handling procedures—forklift operation, container unloading, dispatch—are followed to standard.
**About you**
This position will suit you if you have:
- Warehouse, freight or distribution Supervisory experience or freight management or distribution management
- Familiarity with function specific software
- Previous experience in managing a team
- Ability to analyse data & problem solve
- Ability to work autonomously
- Experienced with or able to efficiently manage remote warehouse operations
- Strong interpersonal skills, including external and internal customer focus
**Bonus points if you have the below**:
- Qualification in Logistics, Operations/Engineering, or business to diploma or degree
- Experience in warehousing and distribution of appliances or bulky equipment
