Plant Mechanic Specialist – Machine Rebuilds

About Welshpool Mining Rebuilds Workshop in Welshpool, WA, is the hub for cost-effective Caterpillar equipment rebuilds and repairs. We specialise in certified rebuilds, powertrain components, and custom solutions, ensuring maximum performance and minimal downtime for our customers.

Roster Options: 7 days on, 7 off, 7 nights on, 7 off | 12hrs + 30min meal break 5 days on, 2 days off
- 2 weeks of days, 1 week of nights | 10hrs + 30min meal break

What You Will Do Responsible for completing all aspects of rebuilds and repairs for a diverse fleet of Caterpillar machines. Ensure that all replacements and repairs are conducted to rebuild customer CAT fleets, thereby extending their lifespan and enhancing productivity. Opportunity to mentor and coach less-experienced technicians and apprentices while engaged in trade-related activities.

What We Are Looking For Trade qualified in Mobile Plant Technology. Strong leadership and mentoring experience (Leading Hand/Supervisor background). Advanced diagnostic and fault-finding skills using CAT SIS. Experience with CAT dealership and traditional CAT fleet (OHT, Grader, Loader). High competence in mobile low-voltage electrical systems & air conditioning, with advanced schematic interpretation skills.
