Chemical Plant Operator (Welshpool)

About the Role: Pascom Commercial Pty Ltd, a well-established chemical blending and distribution company based in Welshpool, WA, is seeking an experienced Chemical Plant Operator to join our production team on a full-time basis.Pascom is recognised as a leading supplier of chemicals, ingredients, and raw materials across Australia, supporting a diverse range of industries. In this role, you will be responsible for supporting the day-to-day operation of chemical processing and blending activities, ensuring products are manufactured safely, efficiently, and to required quality standards. Working Hours This is a full time position, averaging 38 hours per week. Key Responsibilities:
- Operate and monitor chemical mixing tanks and production equipment
- Carry out batch processing in line with established formulas and production requirements
- Measure and add raw materials and chemicals accurately during the production process
- Monitor key process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates to ensure product quality
- Follow batch instructions to maintain consistency and meet production standards
- Conduct basic sampling and testing as part of quality control procedures
- Inspect equipment, identify any issues, and report faults as required
- Assist with routine maintenance and ensure equipment is kept in good working condition
- Safely handle and store chemicals, including hazardous substances, in line with WHS requirements
- Maintain accurate production records and shift logs
- Work collaboratively with the production and warehouse teams to meet daily targets
- Follow company quality systems and safety procedures at all times Skills and Experience Required:
- Minimum 1- 2 years’ experience in a manufacturing, processing, or similar industrial environment
- Experience operating plant equipment or machinery, with exposure to chemical processing or batch operations highly regarded
- Ability to monitor and control basic process parameters such as temperature, pressure, and flow rates
- Experience handling materials and following safe work procedures in a production environment
- Relevant qualification in engineering, process operations, or a related field (or equivalent hands-on industry experience)
- Understanding of workplace health and safety (WHS) practices in an industrial setting
- Solid attention to detail and ability to follow structured processes and instructions
- Good communication skills and ability to work effectively within a team
