Fabrication Machine Operator (Welshpool)

Boyd Metal Industries is an Australian owned Welshpool based steel processing business specialising in medium to heavy gauge metal bending, rolling and pressing. Established in 1964, Boyd has long been known as one of the most reliable names in steel forming, owing to our principles around quality, customer service, and turnaround.

Due to growth within the business, we are seeking an experienced Fabrication Machine Operator to join our Welshpool Team.

**Your duties will include (but are not limited to)**: On a daily basis, you will be responsible for setting, operating and programming the machinery to achieve optimum efficiency and productivity. This position may also be involved in warehousing and distribution of steel products using overhead cranes and forklifts.

**Essential skills/experience for this position are**:

- Ability to read engineering drawings and be able to work from these;
- Previous experience (one year min) operating Press/Roller/Plasma machines;
- Previous working experience in the steel/engineering industry;
- Previous experience operating Overhead Cranes;
- Current forklift license;
- Ability to follow detailed work instructions;
- Excellent communication skills and ability to work in a team workplace;
