**The Opportunity**: The Production Support Manager
- Data Devices assists with machine connectivity to gain valuable insights from machine data, identify sales opportunities, and drive efficiencies through a better understanding of machine usage. This role also helps customers optimise productivity and utilisation of their fleet. Connected machines provide an extra level of support for our customers.
This role acts as the primary window for all matters relating to machine communication for Komatsu mining data logging and transfer devices.
**Key Responsibilities**:
- Support the Install of devices in the field and workshop to ensure the initial commissioning and communication is successful.
- Machine connectivity
- Provide support and take action to maintain a high level of machine connectivity (mobile phone technology, satellite, LAN, Wi-Fi etc)
- Training
- Conducts planned and ad-hoc training sessions for both Komatsu and customers
- A key challenge in this role is supporting data devices in the field. This requires a high level of understanding of how data device’s function and their relevant data flows
- Data completeness
- Assisting the service group in fault finding non-communicating machines
- Data accuracy
- Ensure data sets are complete and being received in the required format.
- Data accuracy
- Ensure the data is located in the correct area in the databases. Units should have correct meta data
- Site, Branch, region, Customer etc).
- Provide timely and detailed feedback on issues/actions taken
- Troubleshooting and diagnosis of non-communicating machines
- Complete & circulate reports on machine connectivity
- Investigate, provide feedback on, and rectify failure modes

**What we are looking for**:
- Mining Industry experience
- Mechanical or engineering aptitude
- Komatsu systems experience is highly desirable
- Excellent communication skills both written and oral
- Ability to read and follow schematics
- Methodical approach to troubleshooting
- RF communication and Network experience (Radio/Satellite/Telecommunication)
- Certified Engineering tradesperson
- Mech/Elect
- Proven documentation skills
- Basic understanding of Microsoft office tools
- Word, excel, outlook etc
- Current Driver’s License
- Ability to build robust internal and customer relationships
- High personal and professional standards of behaviour and ethics
- Ability to actively contribute as a part of a team
- Organised, ambitious, motivated and goal focused
- Project Management
- Basic understanding of Information Technology/Computer Science
- Qualifications_
- Telemetry Communication/Radio Communication Technician or Certified Engineering Tradesperson
- Mech/Elect with Radio Communication experience
