Westate Hose Supplies is a growing West Australian supplier of industrial hose, hydraulic hose, fittings, valves, couplings and fluid transfer solutions. Our customers range from mining, construction, transport and agriculture through to manufacturing, marine, government and industrial maintenance contractors. We're looking for an Internal Sales professional to join our team. Whether you're already working in hose and fittings, hydraulics, valves, pumps, industrial supplies, bearings, irrigation, trade wholesale, automotive or a similar technical sales environment — or you're a motivated junior looking to build a long-term career — we'd like to hear from you. Industrial Hose & Fittings experience is highly regarded, but attitude beats experience every day of the week. The successful applicant will become a key point of contact for our customers, helping identify solutions, prepare quotations, process orders and provide technical support across a broad range of fluid transfer products and applications. Reporting directly to the Sales Operations Manager, you'll be a key part of a growing team focused on delivering outstanding customer service and technical support. You'll work closely with warehouse, purchasing and management teams, gaining exposure across all areas of the business and building the skills required for future leadership, sales or specialist roles within the organisation. The Role
You'll be responsible for:
- Responding to customer enquiries by phone, email and in person at our trade counter
- Preparing quotations and processing customer orders
- Assisting customers with product selection and technical enquiries
- Identifying opportunities within existing customer accounts
- Following up quotations and customer requests
- Working closely with warehouse and operations teams
- Building strong relationships with customers and suppliers
- Learning a broad range of products, applications and industries This role is primarily focused on servicing existing customers, generating quotations, solving technical enquiries and identifying opportunities within our existing customer base. This is not a cold-calling role. Our product range includes industrial hose, hydraulic hose and fittings, camlocks, dry disconnect couplings, valves, loading and unloading equipment, washdown systems, hose assemblies, fittings, adaptors and associated fluid transfer products. No two days are the same. One minute you'll be quoting a replacement hydraulic fitting, the next helping a customer troubleshoot an application and select the right hose, valve or fluid transfer solution. What We're Looking For
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Good computer skills and attention to detail
- Ability to manage multiple priorities
- Positive attitude and willingness to learn
- Driven, self-motivated and solutions-focused mindset
- Mechanical aptitude or a genuine interest in technical products Highly Regarded
- Experience in industrial hose, hydraulic hose and fittings, valves, pumps or fluid transfer products
- Experience in industrial wholesale, trade supplies or technical product sales
- Trade background
- Internal sales, customer service or account management experience
- Mechanical aptitude and interest in technical products
