**ABOUT THE ROLE**:

- Ongoing Full Time
- Band 5: $77,098 including Industry Allowance + 11.5% superannuation (No Maintenance Allowance)
- Fortnightly RDO available
- Based at the Leongatha Depot

This position forms part of the Routine Maintenance team whose key objective is to undertake routine and reactive maintenance activities to maximise the life of Council's road and road related assets.

As Supervisor you will oversee the delivery of Council's routine maintenance program, specifically unsealed road potholing, unsealed and sealed drains, table drain pulling, and maintenance grading.

Key responsibilities include:

- Provide leadership and supervise Routine Maintenance team who work from both Leongatha and Foster depots.
- Prepare weekly work plans and review to ensure continuous improvement.
- Liaise with Coordinators to assist in preparing the annual work plans and budgets.
- Oversee the teams cost control of works.
- Communicate with external stakeholders to help resolve concerns and specialist matters.
- Manage unsealed road potholing, unsealed and sealed drains, table drain pulling, and maintenance grading programs.
- Undertake labouring duties where required.

**ABOUT YOU**: To be successful you will have:

- Certificate III in Civil Construction (Road construction and maintenance) or equivalent.
- Relevant experience in Road Infrastructure maintenance including operation of plant and equipment.
- Experience in supervising, training and motivating a road maintenance (or similar outdoor) team.
- Well-developed communication, problem solving and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to carry out manual labouring tasks.

Other desirable qualifications:

- Certificate IV in Civil Construction Supervision or willing to obtain.
- Certificate IV in Leadership and Management or willing to obtain.
