About the Role You will lead business development across Industrial Rental Equipment, Inspection Services and Subsea Services, identifying new opportunities, building strong client relationships and growing market share. Working closely with the General Manager and operations teams, you’ll contribute to CLS’s strategic direction while ensuring commercial, HSEQ and governance requirements are met. What you'll do
- Develop and execute regional business development strategies to achieve revenue and growth targets
- Identify, pursue and secure new business opportunities across all CLS business lines
- Build and maintain strong relationships with existing and prospective clients
- Prepare and deliver proposals, tenders and client presentations
- Monitor market trends, competitor activity and customer needs
- Lead the effective use of CRM to manage opportunities and pipeline
- Work closely with operations and technical teams to ensure successful delivery of awarded work
- Represent CLS at industry events, networking functions and client meetings
- Ensure all commercial activities comply with company governance, HSEQ and ESG requirements What we are looking for? You will be commercially focused business development professional with experience in industrial services and a strong understanding of the WA market.
- Proven experience in business development or sales within industrial services, oil & gas, mining, or related sectors
- Robust understanding of rental equipment, inspection services, or subsea operations (preferred)
- Demonstrated ability to meet or exceed sales targets
- Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills
- Ability to work autonomously while contributing to a broader team strategy
- Experience developing business strategies, maintaining an opportunities pipeline, preparing tender/quote submissions, estimating, conducting contract reviews, negotiating awards, and handing over to the operations team.
- Understanding of the commercial aspects of project delivery, service, and rental of process equipment.
- Profound knowledge of the market, its competitive dynamics, and the ability to develop and manage client and stakeholder relationships and new market opportunities. Detailed knowledge of customers, their buying patterns, and the competition.
- Willingness to travel within the region The successful candidate will have full unrestricted working rights, a valid Australian Driver's licence and an updated National Police Clearance.
