As an essential member of our team, the CSSD Instrument Technician is responsible for the safe, efficient and compliant reprocessing of reusable medical devices (RMD’s) to support perioperative and clinical services at Leongatha Memorial Hospital. The role ensures all cleaning, disinfection, inspection, packaging, sterilisation, storage and distribution processes are performed in accordance with AS:5369 standards, infection prevention and control standards and National Safety and Quality Health Service (NSQHS) Standards. We are searching for a team player with exceptional attention to detail to join our friendly and supportive perioperative team. Responsibilities
- Perform cleaning, disinfection, inspection, assembly, packaging, sterilisation and storage of all RMD’s in accordance with AS 5369 and infection prevention standards
- Collaborate with medical, nursing, and allied health colleagues to deliver integrated care
- Undertake routine testing and monitoring of sterilisation processes and equipment
- Maintain accurate documentation and traceability records for all CSSD activities Mandatory Requirements
- Dynamic, self‑motivated and flexible individual who can respond and adapt to change, display empathy, prioritise and problem solve effectively with a positive "can‑do" attitude and eagerness to learn
- Completed certification in Sterilisation Services and at least 12 months experience working in CSSD
- Valid Police Check within 12 months of issue date
- Current Victorian Drivers Licence
- Entitlement to work within Australia
