NSW Health Pathology is seeking a motivated and organised Facilities Support Officer to join the Facilities Management Unit (FMU) within the Forensic & Analytical Science Service (FASS). In this position, you will provide essential operational support for the Forensic Medicine & Coroners Court Complex in relation to facilities management activities that include maintenance programs, infrastructure projects, emergency management coordination, contractor engagement, and facilities administration systems. This is a great opportunity for someone who enjoys variety in their work, can operate autonomously, and is committed to supporting essential scientific services through efficient and co-ordinated Facilities Management services.

What you'll be doing The Facilities Support Officer plays a key role in supporting the effective operation of facilities and infrastructure services within FASS. Reporting to the Senior Facilities Manager, this position contributes to the day‑to‑day functioning of the FMU by providing high‑quality operational, administrative, and co-ordination support across a diverse range of facilities management activities. The role supports infrastructure projects and maintenance programs from planning through to delivery and also manages both proactive and reactive maintenance programs, ensuring work requests, service reports, permits, and documentation are managed efficiently and in accordance with established systems and Australian Standards.

- Hold a tertiary qualification relevant to the role and/or demonstrated experience in a support capacity in the field of Facilities or Building Management.
- Highly competent computer literacy skills to complete work activities, including proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office packages, procurement systems, AFM Online and building management systems.
- Excellent written and oral communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with multidisciplinary teams and develop and maintain effective stakeholder relationships.
- Proven organisational and time management skills with the ability to meet and manage competing priorities, giving due consideration to business continuity needs in a dynamic and challenging work environment.
- Demonstrated ability to work in a team environment while working autonomously to deliver outcomes within specified timeframes.
- Ability to provide high attention to detail within a busy, high-volume environment.
- Willingness to travel in accordance with the demands of the role and participate in an on-call roster.
