We are currently seeking an Innovation Manager who will take charge of our Innovation development team. The role will report directly to the General Manager
- Marketing & Innovation. The responsibilities of this role include overseeing the innovation team, which comprises 3 direct and 3 indirect reports. The team is tasked with innovation development, project management, and product development, all geared towards executing the innovation pipeline.
The role is based in our brand-new office at Sydney Olympic Park, which includes onsite parking. You will have the flexibility to work from home on certain days. With this position comes some occasional travel to our sites nationally.
**Your responsibilities include**:
- Building and managing the delivery of the product and packaging development pipeline in consultation with the GM Marketing and Innovation, Sales and Cross functional teams
- Accountability for the successful management of the team overseeing cross functional project teams to deliver and launch innovation projects on time and within business case parameters
- Lead, coach and manage 3 direct reports who lead project management and 3 indirect reports responsible for product and packaging development
- Leading the Stage and Gate process, Cross functional innovation leadership team in a new digitised format and input into the IBP process
- Management and communication of the innovation agenda, pipeline, status, and elevating issues to the senior sales and marketing leadership team
- Championing the sustainability agenda for Tassal to ensure agreed objectives are met in the long term
- Execute our company packaging innovation roadmap
- Review innovation strategy & projects and recommend changes/additions to strategy and key priority projects.
- Lead engagement with customers for private label business
**About you**:
- Previous experience leading a team and high volumes of innovation projects
- Minimum of 7 years in FMCG broad cross functional manufacturing exposure
- Fresh food and protein experience highly regarded
- Relevant Tertiary qualifications
- Commercial comfort and agility
- Confident leader to champion the innovation agenda across the innovation team, marketing and sales, plus the cross functional business
- You thrive in a fast paced, agile environment and have the leadership to be proactive and support team in taking action
- Results and outcome driven that can balance process and adaptability
- Solid communication and influencing skills, and ability to share learnings and motivate/influence others.
