**Role Description/Criteria**

The Religious Education and Faith Development Leader (REFDL) in consultation with and under the direction of the Deputy Principal
- Mission has overall responsibility for the development and implementation of the Religious Education curriculum, in accordance with Diocesan guidelines.

The REFDL will be a member of the Faith Development Team and assist in providing staff and students with opportunities that help them to explore and deepen their faith within a Catholic context.

They will be an active member of the Liturgy Team and assist with the development of the Retreat programs and Reflection days. They have a special responsibility in conjunction with the Deputy Principal
- Mission and College Executive to preserve and develop the Catholic Identity and Mercy heritage of the College.

The REFDL will deputise for the Deputy Principal
- Mission when needed.
