Families Together Program Manager (Lismore)

The Program Manager leads the delivery of the Families Together program, supporting children to remain safely at home through structured, child-focused and outcomes-driven family support. This role provides leadership and oversight of practice, ensuring risks to children are identified, assessed and responded to appropriately, while guiding staff to deliver high-quality casework that strengthens family safety, stability and wellbeing. Working closely with the NSW Department of Communities and Justice (DCJ) and local services, the Program Manager coordinates effective responses for families, maintains strong stakeholder relationships and ensures the program operates in line with contractual, legislative and organisational requirements. The role is responsible for program performance, team leadership, supervision, practice quality and continuous improvement across the service. Role Responsibilities Lead and oversee delivery of the Families Together program Provide oversight of practice, including assessment, planning and responses to risk Support and supervise practitioners to deliver consistent, purposeful support Ensure child safety is prioritised across all service delivery and decision-making Maintain strong, collaborative relationships with DCJ and partner agencies Monitor program performance, outcomes and service quality Ensure documentation, reporting and information sharing meet program and legislative requirements Role Requirements Experience working with children and families with complex needs and risk Demonstrated leadership experience, including supervision and support of staff Strong understanding of child protection and mandatory reporting Ability to support staff to make transparent and timely decisions that prioritise child safety Strong communication and collaboration skills Commitment to strengths-based, child-centred and culturally responsive practice Bachelor qualification in Social Work, Psychology, Social Welfare or related field NSW Working with Children Check Current Driver’s Licence National Police Check First Aid Certificate Location & conditions Based in Lismore Travel required across Kyogle, Lismore and Richmond Valley SCHADS Award Family Support Network Inc. is committed to creating a culturally safe and inclusive workplace.
