Maintenance Supervisor (Lismore City Council)

Regional NSW | Leadership-Focused Role We are working on behalf of a well-established manufacturing business operating in a high-throughput production environment, seeking to appoint an Engineering Services Foreman to support site performance and lead a team of trades. This is not a purely technical role. The focus is on leadership, coordination, and driving performance on site , working closely with production to ensure plant uptime and effective maintenance delivery. The Role You will take responsibility for a team of engineering trades, ensuring day-to-day operations run smoothly while supporting longer-term improvement across the site. Key areas of focus include:
- Leading and developing a team of trades, including apprentices and junior staff
- Coordinating planned and reactive maintenance in line with production requirements
- Responding to breakdowns and driving urgency around plant uptime
- Acting as the interface between engineering and production teams
- Supporting planning, scheduling, and continuous improvement activity The Workplace
- Fast-paced, high-pressure production environment where downtime has immediate impact
- Mix of legacy and newer plant, with automation embedded across key processes
- Strong need for visible leadership and on-the-ground decision making About You
- Electrical trade background (essential)
- Experience in a leadership, supervisory or leading hand capacity
- Able to operate in a hands-on, fast-moving environment where priorities shift quickly
- Strong communicator who can build relationships across engineering and production
