About the Role We are seeking a customer-focused Grounds Maintenance Officer to join our dedicated team at at Darlington and Winders Lodge Retirement Living in Banora Point. T he role is a permanent Full-time opportunity working Monday to Friday 7:30am -3:36pm.
Reporting to the Maintenance Team Leader, this role will ensure the condition and appearance of our two Retirement Villages are of the highest standard to provide a pleasant and safe environment for residents, staff and visitors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Maintain and enhance gardens, lawns, and outdoor areas to a high standard.
- Perform planting, pruning, weeding, mowing, and general landscaping tasks.
- Ensure all outdoor spaces are clean, safe, and visually appealing.
- Conduct routine inspections to identify and address gardening needs.
- Operate and maintain gardening equipment safely and effectively.
- Collaborate with the facility team to create outdoor spaces that support resident well-being.
- Comply with all health, safety, and environmental regulations. About You To be successful in this role, our preferred candidate will have:
- Experience in maintenance and grounds duties, preferably in an aged care environment
- Relevant Certificate IV qualification and/or significant relevant experience
- Current valid drivers' licence
- Evidence of Australian work rights
- Police Check & NDIS Workers Screen (or willing to obtain)
- A pre-employment medical assessment may be required for this role
