The Department of Education is offering 3 positions in a Temporary Part-Time capacity (0.8FTE, 0.4FTE and 0.3FTE), for a period of 3 to 6 months unless otherwise determined. About the Student Wellbeing Program: The Student Wellbeing Program ensures that every Queensland state primary and secondary school has access to a qualified wellbeing professional. As part of this program, psychologists work within existing school-based student support teams to provide targeted assistance to students experiencing mild to moderate mental health concerns. About the Roles: The Department of Education is seeking dedicated psychologists to join our teams in the following locations:
- 0.8 FTE
- Bribie Island State High School (Moreton Bay
- North)
- 0.4 FTE
- Sunshine Beach State High School (Sunshine Coast)
- 0.3 FTE
- Moore Park, Sharon & Yandaran State Schools (Wide Bay) Our psychologists play a vital role within school-based Student Services teams and contribute to the broader regional Student Wellbeing Program. In this role, you will make a meaningful difference in students' lives by delivering professional support, early intervention, and care that promotes positive mental health and wellbeing across school communities. In this role, you will apply your professional expertise to deliver evidence-based psychological interventions and therapeutic support tailored to students' mental health and wellbeing needs. We welcome applications from both graduate and experienced psychologists. Responsibilities:
- Conducting psychological assessments and delivering ongoing, evidence-based interventions for students and their families.
- Collaborating with caregivers, school staff, and key stakeholders to support student wellbeing and learning outcomes.
