This growing and fast‑paced powder-coating manufacturing business who offer the largest range of powder and paint warranty systems for aluminium, steel and other substrates, for powder coating clients in Sydney & Melbourne. An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Production Support & Forklift Operator to join the team. This role is a vital interface within the business, supporting production throughput while ensuring the safe handling, storage, and movement of goods across the facility.

The position is responsible for maintaining efficient factory operations, including accountability for:

- Safe handling of aluminium extrusions and oversized materials

- Coordination of goods receivable and dispatch processes

- Supporting production flow to meet operational deadlines

- Accurate documentation and inventory control

- Identifying and reporting quality concerns

- Maintaining strong internal and external customer interactions

Working within a busy production environment, this role requires a highly skilled forklift operator with strong attention to detail, a proactive mindset, and the ability to thrive under pressure.

The Role

Reporting to the Operations and Production Supervisor, your responsibilities will include:

- Operating forklifts to move heavy and oversized aluminium extrusion materials safely

- Unloading inbound deliveries, checking, recording, and storing goods received

- Preparing and loading finished goods for dispatch in line with schedules

- Supplying production lines with required materials to maintain workflow efficiency

- Strapping and securing loads to prevent damage during movement and transport

- Conducting quality checks on incoming and outgoing goods, flagging any issues

- Completing accurate administration and documentation related to inventory and movements

- Assisting in maintaining a clean, organised, and safe working environment

- Supporting team members and contributing to overall production performance

This is a hands-on, physically active role that requires strong teamwork, reliability, and the ability to adapt to changing production demands.

The Right Candidate Will Have:

- Current Forklift Licence (LF Class) and valid Driver’s Licence

- Proven 3 years (minimum) experience operating forklifts in a manufacturing or production environment

- Experience handling aluminium extrusion, steel products, or similarly heavy materials is highly regarded


- Strong safety awareness with a consistent work attendance record

- Solid numeracy and administrative skills with high attention to detail

- Ability to work efficiently under pressure in a fast‑paced workplace

- A hands-on, team‑player attitude with a “can‑do / will‑do” mindset

- Own transport and flexibility to work overtime when required
