**About the role**
We are looking for a mechanical expert who has the drive to grow our operations to the next level for our Manheim Sydney site. In this role, you will be facilitating the rectification and decommissioning of light vehicles whilst assisting the inspections team as required. With the aim of improving quality control and efficiencies, you will be producing diagnostics as well as road test reports on the vehicles to present for the auctions. This role will progress into establishing a mechanical team with the focus of improving the services we provide to our customers.
As a Mechanical Inspector, you will provide attention to detail with the highest level of accuracy, care and quality service to our customers. Ability to work autonomously and have the drive to grow your career within our business.
Key duties include:
- Perform rectification and decommissioning on the vehicles for our customers
- Generate diagnostics and road test reports on vehicles to present cars for auctions
- Support the inspections team for vehicle inspection as per our procedure
- Collaborate with internal and external stakeholders to ensure mechanical repairs are met
- Continuous improvement in our systems and processes specifically in our mechanical repair operations
- Prepare reports as required by the Operations Manager
- Assist with general operational duties as required during auctions
**Skills & Experiences**
- Relevant mechanical trade qualifications e.g. Certificate in light vehicle mechanic
- Professional career experience as a mechanic
- People’s person who is looking to grow their career
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills
- Robust decision-making skills
- Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
