**About the role**

The** Mechanical Fitter (Day shift)**role**is a** Full-time**position, based at **Cecil Park, NSW.** Reporting to the** Maintenance Manager**at our PGH Bricks manufacturing site, assisting with the general maintenance and breakdown work.

Ideally, the successful applicant will be required to have a manufacturing or Building background, **Mechanical Fitter Trade Certificate** or **Boilermaker Certificate**or similar, have positive attendance and have a strong awareness and regard for health, safety and the environment.

**Duties & Responsibilities**
- Maintaining Operational machines in our PGH Bricks manufacturing site.
- Complete planned maintenance tasks.
- Fault diagnosis and breakdown repairs.
- Complete repairs or modifications as requested by your Supervisor.
- Mechanical **Fitting**maintenance activities related to Clay extrusion equipment, mixers, crushers, conveyors, gearboxs/drives, bearings rollers etc.
- Fabrication-Simple stick and **MiG** **welding**:

- Machine tools
- Occasional use of **milling** machine, **lathe** and **pedestal drill**.
- Maintain safe work & operating practices; and maintain a high standard of housekeeping.
