Production Assistant (Edensor Park)

**PRODUCTION ASSISTANT**

Giglio’s Fresh Chickens is a Poultry Abattoir located in Bonnyrigg, NSW. We are seeking a Production Assistant to join our team at our Further Processing Unit.

The position is hands on with a 4am Approx START. You will be assisting the Production Supervisor to ensure the smooth operation of the day
- **RESPONSIBILITIES AND TASKS**:_
- Supervise and coordinate daily production activities in the Poultry Further Processing Facility
- Ability to plan, manage teams and manufacture production orders, ensuring that stock is maintained, investigating any shortages and correcting as required.
- Ensure all targets are achieved with maximum efficiency within HACCP, OH&S; and all production-related maintenance issues.
- Responsible for leading the production team to ensure efficient, successful and safe operation
- Manual handling duties where required
- Perform additional duties as assigned
- Familiar use of an electric pallet jack
- Maintain accurate production records including productions records, including output and any incidents that occur during shift.
- **EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS**:_
- Minimum one (1) years’ experience within a poultry industry
- Demonstrated one (1) years’ leadership experience
- Respond calmly when faced with obstacles
- Working knowledge of poultry processing and food safety regulations
- Must have the ability to communicate in English, both verbal and written.
- Organizational skills with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple projects
- Self-starter who demonstrates strong initiative and sense of urgency, with the ability to work in a rapid paced environment
- **SAFETY REQUIREMENTS**:_
- Follow and ensure others follow company safety policies and programs
- Wear required protective equipment in all areas where mandatory
- **PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS**:_
- Ability to be exposed to moving production
- Exposed to Cool / Freezer Rooms
- Physically fit and repetitively lift 5kg-15kg

**Job Types: Full-time
- Salary: $80,000.00 + Super per year**
