Forklift Operator / Warehouse & Yard Team Member (Moorebank)

We are seeking an experienced Forklift Operator to join our growing transport and logistics operation based in Moorebank. This is a varied hands-on role involving forklift operation, loading and unloading trucks, unpacking shipping containers, freight handling, stock movement, and general warehouse and yard duties. No two days are the same. We are looking for someone who takes pride in maintaining a well-organised warehouse and yard. The successful applicant will have excellent attention to detail, be proactive in keeping freight organised and accurately tracked, and take ownership of ensuring our operational areas remain safe, efficient and tidy. Core Responsibilities

- Load and unload trucks and containers safely and efficiently
- Unpack and pack import and export containers
- Operate forklifts and other material handling equipment
- Receive, check and dispatch freight
- Move, stage and store freight within the warehouse and yard
- Maintain a clean, organised and efficient warehouse and yard at all times
- Ensure freight is correctly staged, labelled and stored in designated locations
- Assist in managing freight movements and yard organisation to ensure operational efficiency
- Use our Freight Tracker system to accurately record freight movements and inventory locations
- Assist with stock control and inventory management
- Follow all company Work Health & Safety procedures Essential Requirements

- Current Reach Stacker Forklift Licence (RS)
- Current Forklift Licence (LF)
- Previous warehouse, freight or logistics experience
- Experience loading and unloading trucks
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills
- Ability to prioritise tasks and maintain an organised work environment
- Strong sense of accountability and ownership of your work area
- Physically fit and capable of manual handling
- Reliable, punctual and hardworking
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Current driver's licence
- Basic computer skills and willingness to learn freight management systems Desirable

- Experience unloading shipping containers
- Experience in the transport or container industry
- Experience using freight management, warehouse management or freight tracking systems
- Heavy Vehicle Licence (MR, HR or HC). While not required, this would allow the successful applicant to assist with moving trucks and trailers around the depot, positioning vehicles for loading and unloading, pre-loading equipment where required, and supporting the efficient preparation of vehicles for the following day's operations.
