Accountant / Financial Controller - Automotive Dealership …, Logan City

Overview Our client is a newly established automotive dealership group supporting the new electric vehicle (EV) franchise entrants. This is an opportunity to join a Group seeking to be renowned for excellence in the retail automotive space. The Role Based at the Springwood dealership site, this is a rare hands-on opportunity to be part of the start-up of two new dealerships. This is an autonomous role for an “all-rounder” where no two days are the same. You will be responsible for the full finance function including payroll. Depending on experience, this role can be either a full time role or a part time role, for the right candidate. Key Responsibilities
- Prepare monthly management reports, P&Ls;, and forecasts
- Monitor cash flow, budgets, and variance analysis
- Ensure compliance with tax and financial regulations
- Maintain accurate vehicle stock control and floorplan reporting
- Lead end-of-month processes, reconciliations, and financial close
- Liaise with external auditors and internal teams as needed
- Oversee procurement and supplier agreements
- Manage payroll and oversee HR compliance initially. About You
- Previous experience in a dealership or automotive accounting is essential, preferably across multiple franchises
- CPA / CA qualification would be highly regarded
- Strong understanding of dealership operations and DMS platforms (e.g. Titan, Pentana, AutoIT)
- Dealership Start-Up experience highly regarded
- Advanced Excel skills
- High level of accuracy, analytical skills, and time management
- An ability to thrive in a dynamic, fast-paced environment whilst maintaining attention to detail
