First Nations Personal Carer Traineeship BlueCare | Community Care We are currently seeking Aboriginal and/or Torres Strait Islander individuals who are interested in pursuing a rewarding career as a Personal Carer. Employment Status: Maximum Fixed Term – Part Time Location: Canungra, Mount Tamborine & Surrounding areas Remuneration: $32.69 p/hr + Super + Not for Profit Salary Packaging (increases your take home pay) + Allowances & Travel Reimbursement (KM’s) The Program: Complete a Certificate 3 in Individual Support with us, while you earn an income. We’ll connect you with government funding, so you complete the certificate at no cost. About the role We're looking for someone who wants to build meaningful relationships and make a difference in the lives of others – through small moments that leave big impacts.
- Provide care to clients living in the community, supporting their independence and improving their quality of life.
- Spend time on the road completing scheduled visits, interacting one‑on‑one with clients within their homes, supporting with daily activities.
- In‑home personal care, daily living assistance including showering, personal hygiene, meal preparation, house cleaning, laundry and ironing.
- Provide care in accordance with their individualised Care Plan.
- Support with community based recreational and social activities.
- Transportation and assistance with shopping and appointments. Role requirements
- A genuine interest in completing a Cert III in Individual Support.
- Current Australian driver’s licence and roadworthy vehicle – Essential.
- Experience with technology including smartphones, tablets, laptops etc.
- Confidence to satisfy the relevant probity checks required by legislation or policies. Employee Benefits
