Casual Support Worker (Holmview)

We are seeking **mature and self-motivated** female support workers to join our team in the **Holmview & Waterford** area.
- Must be willing to undertake **2-hour shifts** at various times of the day between 7am and 7pm
- Longer shift may be available on occasion.
- Must be willing to work **Weekends (Predominantly Sunday but may alternate between Saturday and Sunday or include both on occasion)**
- **Mature and self-motivated**, with a strong sense of responsibility and initiative.
- **Explicit and fluent English** communication skills (essential due to a hearing impairment).
- Comfortable working in a home with **cats,**may include assistance with a cat litter.

**Casual role** starting with **4 -6 hours per week**, with potential for additional hours (but not guaranteed).

**JOB ROLE**

As a **Disability Support Worker**, you will assist clients in their homes and community, supporting them with **daily living and capacity building activities** such as personal care, meal preparation, and domestic tasks.

Your responsibilities may include but are not limited to:

- Personal Care
- Showering, bathroom assistance & grooming both Male and Female clients
- Medication Monitoring
- (Training and certificate provided)
- Domestic Assistance
- Light Housework, shopping and light yard work.
- Meal Preparations
- Assisting with cooking and meal planning.
- Social Support
- Encouraging engagement at home and in the community.
- Transport
- Driving clients to and from appointments.
- Mental Health Support
- Assisting clients with emotional well-being.
- Decision-Making & Budgeting Assistance
- Helping clients plan daily activities, budgets, and purchases.
- Skill Development
- Supporting independence through life-skills training at home or in the community.
- Documentation
- Correctly recording shift notes and client progress in achieving goals

**REQUIREMENTS**:

- Working With Children Check
- NDIS Worker Screening Check
- Police Check
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- NDIS Orientation Modules (Orientation & Effective Communication)
- Infection Control Training (To be renewed Annually)
- Reliable vehicle with comprehensive insurance.
- **Experience preferred but not required; additional training will be provided**. (No formal qualifications are required)

**Job Type**: Casual

Pay: $32.56
- $63.27 per hour
