Production Leading Hand (Pinkenba)

Gliderol Garage Doors (part of the dormakaba group) is one of Australia’s largest manufacturers and distributors of sectional and roller doors. We are seeking an experienced Production Leading Hand to support and guide our team in delivering high-quality, Australian-made products at our Pinkenba site.

As a Leading Hand, you will play a key role in coordinating daily production activities while working alongside the team on the floor. This is a hands-on leadership role suited to someone who enjoys mentoring others, driving performance, and maintaining strong safety and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:

- Leading and supporting a small production team on the floor
- Coordinating daily workflow to ensure output targets are met
- Building and assembling premium garage doors
- Using hand and power tools safely and accurately
- Operating machinery and equipment as required
- Monitoring product quality and adherence to safety standards
- Training and guiding team members to improve capability and performance
- Helping in the warehouse with loading and unloading materials

This is a day shift role with hours of Monday to Thursday 6:00am
- 2:30pm and Friday 6:00am
- 12:00pm.

**YOUR SKILLS**

We’re looking for a natural leader who leads by example and thrives in a team-based manufacturing setting.
- Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment
- Demonstrated experience leading or supervising a team
- Robust understanding of workplace health and safety
- Confident using hand and power tools
- Good communication skills and the ability to motivate others
- Physically fit and comfortable in a fast-paced environment
- Reliable, organized and quality-focused

A pre-employment medical, including drug and alcohol screening will be required.
