Mechanical Fitters - Ampol Lytton Turnaround

Wood delivers maintenance and turnaround services for the Ampol Lytton Refinery and is seeking experienced Mechanical Fitters for the upcoming mid-year FCCU shutdown. This is an excellent prospect to be part of a quick-paced, high-performing team working on a major refinery event, commencing at the beginning of June for approximately 8 weeks . This short-term role offers strong EBA benefits and rates, all while allowing you to remain based at home. Penalty rates apply. As this is a Brisbane-based role, local applicants are preferred at this time, however, consideration will be given to those living outside of Southeast Queensland with the required skillset and experience. - Demonstrable strong focus and commitment to safety
- Enjoy working in a team environment and self-motivated
- Ability to work autonomously when required, while taking ownership of the role.
- Flange management, hydrotesting, valve and pipe installation experience required
- You will have proven maintenance experience in heavy industry environments
- Previous Shutdown/T&I; experience is a definite advantage
- Trade qualified and working within a heavy industry environment for at least 5 years
- You must have in-date current Working at Heights and Confined Space tickets to work on the Shutdown – validity 3 years from date of issue, not expiring before mid-August 2026
- Must be available to pass a Wood medical , after providing the required certificates, safety tickets and driver’s licence to MyPass.
