About the Role:
We are currently seeking a skilled and reliable Fitter to join our team. In this hands-on role, you will be responsible for the assembly, installation, maintenance, and repair of mechanical equipment and machinery. You'll play a key part in ensuring our operations run smoothly and efficiently.
Main Tasks and Responsibilities:
· Complete work instructions as directed and instructed by seniors
· Complete appropriate job reports to ensure accurate record of tasks completed
· Inspecting metal components and assemblies for precision, alignment, and fit using high accuracy measuring tools
· Carry out tasks at the highest standard possible while meeting required deadlines
· Carry out inspections and assessments on vehicles as required and complete the relevant
documentation
· Shaping metal stock and castings to precise tolerances through pressing, cutting, grinding,
planning, boring, and drilling operations
· Liaise with customers, suppliers and contractors to ensure time lines and scoped works are
conducted within the planned maintenance programs in a safe environment.
· Comply with all documented WHS policies, procedures, work instructions and verbal
instructions issued by managers and supervisors.
Requirements:
Qualification in Trade background (preferred)
Relevant trade qualification as a Fitter (Light Automotive, Heavy Vehicle)
A "do things right the first time attitude" following systems/procedures
Have an engaging safe work approach and customer service focus
At least three years of relevant experience is required.
