Recruitment Officer (Temporary) (Mackay)

Join the team behind some of the Bowen Basin's largest CHPP shutdown and maintenance projects during the upcoming shutdown season. At Wisely Group, we are seeking a motivated Recruitment Officer for a short-term contract to support high-volume recruitment across major mining operations. This position is to provide additional recruitment support throughout the busy shutdown period, making this ideal for recruiters looking for a fast-paced temporary opportunity within the mining and maintenance sector. About the Role Working closely with operations, mobilisation, and site teams, you'll play a key role in ensuring skilled personnel are recruited, onboarded, and mobilised safely and efficiently for upcoming shutdown and maintenance works. This is a short-term temporary contract position focused specifically on supporting peak shutdown recruitment activity. You'll thrive in this role if you enjoy working in a structured, high-volume environment and can manage competing priorities with accuracy and professionalism. Key Responsibilities
- Support recruitment across CHPP maintenance, shutdowns, workshop operations, and fixed plant maintenance projects
- Source, screen, and engage candidates for upcoming shutdown and maintenance works
- Conduct interviews and reference checks
- Prepare and manage recruitment advertisements
- Build and maintain active talent pools
- Coordinate candidate documentation and compliance requirements
- Maintain accurate records within recruitment systems
- Work closely with operations and mobilisation teams to meet project deadlines and workforce demands What We're Looking For
- Previous exposure to recruitment, labour hire, mobilisation, or workforce coordination
- Experience within mining, maintenance, shutdowns, trades, or industrial sectors is highly regarded
- Strong communication and relationship-building skills
- Ability to manage multiple priorities in a deadline-driven environment
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to compliance
