Multiskilled / Loader Operator (Mackay Regional)

About This Chance Mackay Regional Council is seeking a dedicated Multiskilled Loader Operator to join our team based at the Calen Depot. This role contributes to the maintenance and construction of roads, drainage assets, and other civil infrastructure in the Mackay region. Responsibilities As an Operator Loader, you will be responsible for labouring and plant and truck operation duties associated with maintenance and construction of roads and drainage assets, including earthworks, concrete, pipelaying, bitumen, and vegetation work. Essential Qualifications, Experience & Skills
- Current General Construction Safety "White" Card.
- Current QLD Heavy Rigid Truck “HR” Class Licence or interstate equivalent, or willingness to obtain within six (6) months.
- Certificate of Competency to operate road construction plant and/or equipment, such as loader, backhoe, skid‑steer, roller.
- Current Traffic Management Implementation (TMI) qualifications, or ability to obtain within twelve (12) months. Our Salary Package
- $67,054.26 base annual salary plus applicable allowances.
