Sandvik Mining Service Technician – Mackay, QLD Sandvik Mining is seeking a qualified local Service Technician to join our growing Mackay branch. You will be the hero behind the scenes, ensuring our customers’ operations run smoothly by diagnosing, maintaining, and repairing our cutting‑edge mobile equipment used in the mining and construction industries. As the go‑to expert for our state‑of‑the‑art mobile equipment, you will ensure peak performance and reliability, boosting productivity for our customers. Your proactive approach to machine performance will drive success, helping customers achieve their operational goals and expanding our customer base and support team. Responsibilities
- Take charge of mechanical duties, performing maintenance, repairs, and fault diagnosis on all Sandvik Mining equipment.
- Execute mechanical maintenance tasks according to plans, ensuring equipment integrity and safe operation at all times.
- Drive efficiency by providing insightful feedback for maintenance planning improvements.
- Keep meticulous records of parts usage, equipment monitoring, and time logs.
- Champion safety by adhering to all policies and procedures, especially Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) policies. Qualifications Location: Residential candidate in Australia. Education: Australian recognised Mechanical Trade Certification. Experience: Demonstrated experience with trucks, loaders, and drilling mobile mining equipment. Safety: Strong safety culture and excellent communication, interpersonal, and customer service skills. Attitude: Proactive, self‑motivated, and initiative‑driven. Computer literacy: Basic. Driver’s licence: Class C Manual. Other: Must pass site requirements such as police checks and regular drug and alcohol screening. Advantages
