What does the job look like? Linfox’s Intermodal business unit have a casual opportunity for an experienced HC Driver to join our team based in Mackay, QLD. The shifts will vary from Monday through to Friday with hours usually being 5:00am
- 1:00pm and some Saturdays or as required by site. You will be responsible for local deliveries and hand unloads with various freight from our major customers both locally & regionally. Key areas:
- Deliver freight both locally and throughout the region
- Daily pre-start checks, including refuelling & maintaining truck interior
- Ensure loads are restrained appropriately
- Communicate effectively with other drivers, supervisors & customers where needed
- Comply with Linfox’s coupling & uncoupling procedures
- Commit to Linfox Safety Standards at all times to ensure that Vision Zero is a daily focus Are you the one? If you are self-motivated and enjoy day-to-day challenges, then this is the role for you. - Current HC licence
- Forklift license
- preferred but not essential
- Experience delivering containerised freight throughout the Mackay region and beyond region and beyond
- Strong attitude towards safety and customer satisfaction
- History of safe work practices & excellent communication
