This full-time position, commencing January 2027, offers an opportunity to contribute meaningfully to the spiritual and educational life of the school community. The Assistant Principal: Students focuses on supporting and promoting a contemporary Catholic educational vision with a focus on the student as a learner and person within Catholic schools. They provide leadership in assisting the principal to develop and maintain physical and human resources in order to deliver effective education programs within the college according to CEDR policies and practices. The Assistant Principal: Students acts under the direction of the Principal and is a member of the College Leadership Team, committed to St Patrick's College Mission. We are seeking a faith inspired professional educator with vision, energy and a demonstrated commitment to the welfare of students. Key responsibilities
- Enhancing Catholic Ethos and Identity: fostering the religious life of the school through Christian witness, active participation in a parish, promotion of Gospel values and the provision of quality religious education.
- Leading, Teaching and Learning: ability to develop and implement high quality learning and teaching programs.
- Developing self and others: supporting others and building capacity with a focus on continuous improvement of teaching and learning.
- Leading improvement, innovation and change: aligning strategic goals and initiatives with the vision and mission of the school and School Review and Improvement Processes.
- Engaging and working with the community: ability to foster and develop appropriate relationships with school staff, students, parents, clergy, parishioners and the wider community. Key leadership qualities and capabilities
- Practicing Catholic with a sound understanding of, and commitment to, Catholic education.
- Experience of successful leadership in Catholic education.
- Ability to foster a culture of inspirational teaching and learning and lead the development and implementation of school improvement initiatives.
- Interpersonal skills to build partnerships within the school and with the local community.
- Willingness to provide leadership in areas delegated by the Principal in the AP Students duty statement.
- Leadership consistent with the message of Jesus, Gospels, Catholic church teachings, principles, values, Diocesan policies, directives, Catholic Education Diocese of Rockhampton Charter, Catholic Education Mission and Vision Statements, policies, practices and strategic directions. About St Patrick's College St Patrick’s College embraces the motto ‘Seek and Serve Christ’. It is a co‑education Catholic college with a current enrolment of approximately 1500 students. The college offers a dual campus concept for Years 7 to 10 at the Mercy Campus and Years 11 to 12 at the Senior Campus, encouraging students to excel in personal growth and faith development.
