Cook (Full-Time) Eden Kitchen & Bar 50 Cavill Ave, Surfers Paradise QLD 4217 Salary: $75,000 – $85,000 per annum + superannuation Employment Type: Full-Time (38 hours per week) Eden Kitchen & Bar is seeking a motivated and experienced Cook to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a full-time position in a fast-paced, professional hospitality environment. Key Duties and Responsibilities:
- Prepare and cook a variety of dishes in accordance with menu requirements
- Assist in planning menus and estimating food and labour costs
- Ensure quality control at all stages of food preparation and presentation
- Monitor stock levels and assist with ordering supplies
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene, safety, and cleanliness in the kitchen
- Follow recipes and portion control guidelines to ensure consistency
- Work collaboratively with kitchen and front-of-house staff during service
- Inspect and maintain kitchen equipment to ensure proper functioning
- Store food in temperature-controlled environments and minimise wastage
- Ensure compliance with WHS and food safety regulations Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant work experience as a Cook
- Relevant qualification in Commercial Cookery (Certificate III or higher) – mandatory
- Strong knowledge of kitchen operations and food safety standards
- Ability to work efficiently in a high-pressure environment
- Positive communication and teamwork skills
